Am I Experiencing a Dental Emergency?
If you are in pain, we consider this a dental emergency. We want to relieve your pain and treat the source of it as soon as possible. Your toothache may have emerged due to one of these common causes:
- Advanced tooth decay
- A cracked or broken tooth
- Infection in the tooth, gums, or mouth
If you have sustained damage to one of your front teeth, we consider this an aesthetic dental emergency. We want to correct the issue promptly so you can get back to smiling!

Will I Need a Root Canal?
If your pain is caused by deep tooth decay, you will likely need root canal treatment. Many people fear this type of treatment, but it’s important to know that root canal treatment is not actually a difficult procedure for the patient. At Alabaster Aesthetic Dentistry, we are well equipped to put you at ease and offer a range of services to keep you comfortable.
What If I Am Afraid of the Dentist?
If the thought of dental treatment gives you anxiety, you are not alone. Many people fear going to the dentist due to past negative experiences and understandably put off visits. We are experienced with helping patients in this situation and are ready to provide comfortable care for you, even if you feel that you have been neglecting your oral health.
Comforts Available During Treatment
To keep you comfortable, we numb the treatment area with pain-free novocain injections. We also offer nitrous oxide, a mild sedative gas that calms as well as enhances the effects of the novocain. It is inhaled through the nose along with oxygen, and when pure oxygen is breathed following treatment, its effects wear off completely. We also have music playing in our treatment rooms to provide a calm atmosphere for you.
“I had to have an emergency tooth extraction. I got an immediate appointment with Dr. Luis Abrahante. He had the best bedside manner and was as calming as possible. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a doctor that actually takes time to give all the information and options.”— Kathy S.
