Our Pediatric Visits
Dr. Luis Abrahante provides routine dental care for patients of all ages, and he is fluent in Spanish as well as English. As a general dentist and not a pediatric dentist, he does not specialize in treating children but is licensed to meet all of their general dental needs. If specialized circumstances put your child’s care outside of the scope of his practice, he will not hesitate to refer your family to a pediatric dentist specialist for treatment.
Your child or teen’s dental check-up will look just like yours. Our pediatric exams include routine x-rays, fluoride treatment, and a cleaning. As a cavity prevention measure, we often apply sealants to your child’s molars.
We treat baby teeth a little differently than adult teeth. Our fillings for baby teeth are made of resin-modified glass ionomer instead of composite. Crowns on baby teeth are made of stainless steel instead of porcelain.

At What Age Should I Schedule My Child’s First Dentist Visit?
Early exposure to the dentist will help your child develop positive associations with receiving oral care. As young as two or three, your child can tag along to your appointment with you and receive his or her first check-up after yours.
